Very impressed with the class. I have never made socks and Johnny made it easier than I thought it would be. I will try making socks now, before the class I didn't think I could make them. Thanks, Johnny these classes are so appreciated you are a wonderful teacher.

There are a number of special things you have to know how to do to knit a sock, and this class covers all the basic ones from knitting the ribbed band to turning a heel, creating a gusset, picking up stitches, and finishing the toe. "Sock Knitting 101" is exactly the right name for this class, because it takes you through knitting an entire sock sized for a baby so that you can understand each of these special tasks. Johnny brings his usual engaging instructional approach and shows you how to do all of these tasks very clearly, and he does not just show you the how-to's and leave you to knit the sock on your own. He takes you through every stitch of your sample sock, so there is nothing you have to figure out for yourself. Purchasing the class gets you the pattern for the baby sock as well as an adult-sized pattern so you can knit socks for yourself. I remember learning some of these techniques by reading a book, and I can tell you they are much, much easier when you have an instructor actually showing you how to do them. I’ve been told that handknitted socks are so comfortable that they can become an addiction. I’m about to find out for myself!
